Student Intern

As a recent IT intern at Kyambogo University, I am proud to reflect on my experience and the valuable skills and knowledge I have gained over the past 3 months. Working on-site in Kampala, Central Region, Uganda provided me with hands-on exposure to the dynamic world of IT, and allowed me to develop my analytical and troubleshooting skills while also honing my abilities in web development, windows server, maintenance and repair, SQL, IT management, and web design. During my internship, I had the opportunity to work closely with a talented team of IT professionals and was given meaningful responsibilities and tasks that allowed me to apply my knowledge and skills in real-world situations. The fast- paced and challenging environment pushed me to grow both personally and professionally, and I am grateful for the support and guidance of my mentors throughout the experience. Overall, my internship at Kyambogo University was an incredible learning opportunity and I feel confident in my ability to take the lessons learned here and apply them to future challenges. I am grateful for the experience and for the connections I have made within the industry. Thank you for this valuable opportunity and I look forward to seeing where my IT journey takes me next!

As a computer and IT specialist at a hardware store, I had the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of the hardware and software that make up today's technology landscape. My responsibilities included: ~Maintaining and repairing computer systems and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, and printers ~Troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support to customers ~Installing and configuring software and hardware components ~Upgrading and configuring computer systems to meet customer needs ~Building and setting up computer systems for customers ~Staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and making recommendations to customers ~Managing inventory of computer components and supplies Through my work at the hardware store, I honed my technical skills and gained valuable experience in the following areas: -Hardware and software troubleshooting -Technical support and customer service -Computer system building and configuration -Inventory management -Technical product knowledge and sales I am proud of the work I have done at the hardware store and am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of the team. This experience has provided me with the foundation I need to continue growing in my career and I look forward to applying these skills and experiences in my next endeavors.
