Bryte Blue | Nov 2022 - Present

Cloud Engineer

As a consultant at Bryte Blue I help clients with their challenges in Azure. With my expertise I aim to take that extra step to help our clients to utilise the full potential of Azure and leave them happy once my job is done. To do this I use all native solutions of Azure (DevOps) as well as third party solution such as Terraform and GitHub.

Capgemini | Apr 2022 - Oct 2022

Operational Delivery Manager

At Capgemini Cyber Infrastructure Services and within the Cyber Security Unit I contributed to the management of day-to-day in-scope services for several clients to ensure they perform to contractual targets (SLAs and/or KPIs). I had a thorough understanding of the client’s business and identified areas for service improvement and value-add where appropriate. I helped identify areas where quality checks were not in place and raised recommendations for get-well plans. I constructed trend analysis, root cause analysis and other requested reports. I was the main point of contact for clients when it came to operation delivery. I helped building and deploying solutions for the Cyber Defence Centre by managing cost, quality and schedule of delivery for these solutions. I did this together with my team and coordinated the progress and adjusted where necessary.

Wortell | Nov 2021 - Mar 2022

Developer

As a developer within the Competence Center Cloud of Wortell, I developed solutions for the Mission Critical Cloud product Pulse focusing on automation. These included alerts, update management and onboarding solutions. I did this by mainly using the complete Azure DevOps suite and PowerShell. One of the solutions I created was the running of an automated check if updates were installed successfully. I did this with a PowerShell script, Azure DevOps pipelines and a time schedule that would check the Azure Automation account in which Update Management was configured and send an email to the configured accounts.

InSpark | Apr 2020 - Oct 2021

Cloud Engineer

Within this role I was working together with my team to deploy, maintain and optimize the cloud environments of several clients. I did this by resolving questions and request that were added to our ITIL system. My tasks varied from deploying and configuring VMs, networks and firewalls to ExpressRoutes and Azure App Services. I tried to work mainly with Azure DevOps to deploy these resources where possible. At one customer, we only deployed and made adjustments through CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Together with my colleagues I also onboarded new customers to our services using Azure DevOps, YAML templated and PowerShell scripts. I also was responsible for access to resources for which I used IAM and dynamic rules. To monitor costs, I implemented tags to group these together. By actively monitoring the client's environment and by automatic alerts I solved incidents quickly. I also contributed to the development of other services from InSpark, such as Business Ready Cloud; an easy way to get started with Azure.

Capgemini | Aug 2016 - Mar 2020

Consultant

Within this role, I contributed to complex and progressive IT projects from clients of Capgemini in the financial and insurance sector. I listened to the client's needs and translated these to applicable solutions. I identified new opportunities and/or fields of improvement for the client to enhance the quality of their services. At Capgemini, I spend most of my time working on cloud solutions in Azure. One of the biggest projects I worked on was creating an overview of a complex Azure environment for a worldwide credit insurer, which consist of multiple subscriptions. I advised on improvements and optimizations, which the company has implemented.
