Data Engineer

1. Collaborated with the development team to transition intricate data pipelines from Informatica to Azure Data Factory (ADF), successfully migrating data from various data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, flat files) to Snowflake. 2. Redesigned workflows and optimized data transformation logic to leverage ADF capabilities, ensuring seamless migration while preserving data accuracy and performance. 3. Created parameterized workflows for deployment, increasing development efficiency and reducing manual intervention. 4. Leveraged Azure DevOps (ADO) for code versioning, pull requests, and collaborative code reviews, ensuring streamlined and organized code management. 5. Collaborated with the System Integration Testing team and client to troubleshoot and debug error pipelines, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and alignment with business requirements. Conducted root cause analysis for pipeline issues, implementing preventive measures to ensure ETL stability and reliability. 6. Resolved performance and complex logic issues in the ETL process, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing critical paths of data transformation. Enhancements included optimizing SQL queries for Snowflake, data partition strategies in ADF, and combining transformation scripts reducing latency between ADF activities. 7. Collaborated with the development team to migrate workflows from IBM Cognos to dbt and Snowflake, enhancing system integration, performance, and efficiency in data processing and analytics. 8. Collaborated with the development team and clients to design, develop and deliver proof of concept (POC) projects to demonstrate the feasibility of migrating to modern data technology tools such as transitioning data workflows from legacy ETL tools (Informatica, IBM Cognos) to modern data platforms (dbt, Databricks, ADF).

Data Engineer

1. Collaborated with Architects to design data models that meets our business stakeholders current wants and anticipates their future business data and analytic needs. 2. Collaborated with our Offshore Team to design and configure rapid ingestion of raw data sources into our Azure Data Lake for better availability and uptime. 3. Implemented seamless data migration processes on the azure platform through creating Pipelines in ADF using Linked Services/Datasets/Pipeline/ to Extract, Transform, and load data from different sources like Azure SQL, Blob storage, Azure SQL Data warehouse. 4. Collaborated with our Offshore Team to model and test an application that manages all day-to-day activities of a business from a centralized point to reduce costs, handle employee time entry, on boarding and issue tracking, among others. 5. Leveraged PowerBI to create interactive reports and dashboards for our downstream consumers and data analytical teams through connecting to the SQL server. 6. Developed SQL queries to analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for businesses.
