• Being part of the group Newcastle Fibrosis Research Group, at the Biosciences Institute, Newcastle University. • Techniques used: DNA and RNA extraction from tissue, precision cut slices, FFPE samples and LCM cut samples; qPCR; ELISA; Western Blot; Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM); sample preparation for LCM; histology staining, small RNA library preparation, DNA methylation library preparation, RNA library preparation, and Illumina MiSeq sequencing. • Bioinformatics analysis of RNA sequencing data, small RNA sequencing data, methylome and proteome.
