My Work Experience

Where I've interned and worked during my career.

Academic Resource Center | Sep 2022 - Dec 2022

TAP Tutor

Listened intently and asked questions to guide students into independently reasoning solutions in individual or group sessions for statistic and math UCR courses.

ISI-BUDS | Jul 2022 - Aug 2022

Biostatistics Intern

Collaborated using GitHub and presented in a team of interns under the guidance of UCI Statistics Professors and a field expert using a Multinomial Logistic Regression model in R to predict the proportion of time a Myanmar farm worker spends in each geographical area. Using multiple data files, I mainly organized time logged and subjects, coded subject characteristic columns, and coded a function for a column for time spent in certain areas.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory | Jun 2022 - Jul 2022

Data Science Intern

Under the lead of a Statistics PhD student and guidance from multiple Data Scientists and UCR Computer Science Professor, I was part of a team to identify compounds that could potentially be used as a drug to prevent or treat covid-19 using stacked models. In Python, I removed unnecessary rows, coded k nearest neighbors and a t-test, and calculated measures of performance in our Google Colab. Also a kernel density model in R.

Statistics Class Laboratory Projects | Sep 2021 - Present

Student

Manage real datasets in R for appropriate statistical and machine learning models before communicating the conclusions in a written and oral report using R functions and LaTeX. Topics in linear regression, bootstrap sampling, anova tables, time series, and assumptions.

University Honors | Sep 2021 - Present

Entry Level Researcher

Researching methods of data collection and analysis of raw data to produce a research paper with an oral presentation for my capstone project under the guidance of Professor Subir Ghosh using secondary data from a development economics experiment, statistical analysis, and R programming.

About Me

4th year returning next year for master's in statistics. I use datacamp to refine my skills that I learned outside the university. I am hoping for an internship this summer as a data analyst because I enjoy solving problems analytically and coding.
