I am responsible for implementing and evaluating, both online and face-to- face, the University chemistry curriculum that tracks and aid in the transition of two-year students into higher-level degree programs. I teach introductory chemistry courses and facilitate associated labs. I implement and maintain an electronic chemical inventory database to ensure compliance with the University’s Environmental Health and Safety, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Environmental Protection Agency, and Department of Homeland Security I also have the privilege of collaborating with colleagues for various interdisciplinary research projects.

Learned and implemented traditional computational chemistry techniques plus additional statistic predictive methods (QSAR/QSPR, machine learning, data analysis) Mentored local high school students in conducting research on two projects: The Preliminary Investigations of EDTA Metal Complexes Using Theoretical Methods and DNA Base Stacking Interactions Utilizing Theoretical Methods. Served as Series Moderater where I coordinated relevant research seminars and possible research collaborations weekly for center, moderated scientific seminars. Participated in collaboration at the University of Gdansk in Poland: Studied the QSPR Estimation of Melting Points for Persistent Organic Pollutants and studied the Multiple Atom Exchange in Zinc Oxide Structure with Dr. Tomasz Puzyn. Participated in an externship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and studied The Stability of DNA bases in the Presence of Cyanamide under Dr. Miguel Fuentes-Cabrera. • Conducted secondary data analysis and clinical-based research using JMP (Graphical User Interface of SAS) to evaluate the statistical significance of the effect of physical activity and relaxation therapies on reduction of fatigue in women with breast cancer treated with radiation. Aggregated data from multiple databases. Evaluated industry standard statistics for significance and prevalence for intervention. o Research conducted in collaboration with Dr. Karen M. Mustian as part of Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester, NY – June-August 2009 • Conducted lab bench and data analysis rat cardiac tissue to determine the effect of voluntary exercise on neurotrophic factor expression.
