Global Data Analyst

For the summer of 2022, I worked with the Earnings Extraction team within the Data department at Bloomberg's European HQ in the city of London, United Kingdom where I built data science & analytics competencies leveraging my previous knowledge and the massive learning opportunity within the firm to build business intelligence & automated data analytics workflow from the data exploration stage, to data analysis, report building and much more importantly communicating this information to relevant stakeholders to enable them make data driven decisions. To quantify impact, my workflow was able to save analysts on the team ~20hours per quarter for a team of 27 analysts. The output was also instrumental in providing relevant insights to enable management make data driven decision on addressing workflow improvement and providing directing for growth prospects for the team. On the professional & soft skills end, I was able to build and develop my professional network and also understand better how to work well with the teams, efficient & effective communication especially with regards to business intelligence, time management, building SMART goals, emotional intelligence for personal life and in the workplace and understanding more about Diversity and Inclusion. All of this was made possible based on the people oriented and innovation driven work culture at Bloomberg; the people are everything.
