The initial two years were spent collaborating alongside third-party developers in deploying and configuring a developing software which involved an ETL process using Talend and Microsoft SQL server to transfer data from the company’s current platforms to meet business requirements. Identifying and analysing the performance of the ETL processes to meet SLAs and reporting back to key stakeholders with findings and results. Performing data quality checks by comparing results against our legacy systems by utilising SQL server queries and recording statistics using Microsoft Excel. All software releases and bug reporting are handled with the use of JIRA. Responsible for managing successful cutovers during the course of the project for when it needed to be deployed on live servers to demonstrate to potential customers. This required liaising with other stakeholders to understand and agree upon their tasks and the time frame required. Trained several staff members in the team to be able to carry out the same tasks, this was achieved by mentoring them through the responsibilities of the role and documenting instructions to them to follow. My current role involves the production and issuing of approximately 100 databases that are used by customers and company researchers worldwide. Any issue raised by researchers and other stakeholders via JIRA would be investigated and resolved in a timely manner. Cooperated with other staff in the release of a new schema by performing data quality checks and ensuring our processes have been amended to cater for the change. Also created reports using Power BI to record data from our databases, these reports are uploaded onto the departments’ dashboard for various stakeholders in the business to view.

The role engages to work as a team player with colleagues on the shop floor in keeping the store tidy and presentable at all times for customers. Duties include delivering great customer service by helping them with any queries they have on the product(s) e.g. sizes, alternative options or ordering products. This role requires maintaining the quantity of stock that is out on the shop floor so customers can look for their sizes and have it available for them. Mainly manage the menswear department due to my knowledge of menswear. Able to help customers in finding their size for suits and the ability to link sell by offering the customer other items.
