My responsibilities at the company were diverse, allowing me to develop a broad set of skills. I have extensive experience developing master plans in cities throughout the Middle East, with a strong focus on Transit-Oriented Development and Sustainable Urban Development. Additionally, I have worked on creating mobility strategies and traffic studies for existing cities and new urban developments in Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia. I have also contributed to the development of macroscopic traffic simulation models to analyze the mobility behavior of people and goods in selected cities. As part of my role at IDOM, I have been responsible for writing bids, market studies, and other technical documentation for projects in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. This has allowed me to develop my writing skills and gain a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of our work.

During my internship at CRTM (Consorcio Regional de Transportes de Madrid), the public transport authority for the Madrid Region, my primary role involved analyzing passenger demand and service supply across all modes of public transportation in the Community of Madrid. Furthermore, I was responsible for devising and implementing a process to calculate the tariff coverage of the transport system, which included all tickets and travel passes. This task necessitated precise calculations and a thorough understanding of the local transport market.

Junior Project Engineer

ADIF Alta Velocidad is responsible for the construction and maintenance of high-speed railway lines. During my internship, I was a member of the team supporting Project Management and Technical Performance Management activities related to the development of high-speed rail networks in the Basque Country and Galicia. This involved overseeing various aspects of the project to ensure they were executed efficiently and effectively. I participated in the Life Impacto Cero project, which aimed to develop and demonstrate an anti-bird strike tubular screen for High Speed Rail lines. This project was part of the EU's Life financial instrument, which supports environmental, nature conservation, and climate action projects throughout the EU. In addition, I developed demand models, route and traffic studies, and infrastructure analyses to inform decision-making around high-speed rail. My skills in data analysis and attention to detail were crucial in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of these studies.

Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative, Inc. (EMI) | Jul 2016 - Aug 2016

GIS Specialist

EMI is an international scientific organization established as a NGO in the Philippines, whose mission is to advance knowledge, policy, and practice of urban disaster risk reduction, particularly focusing on megacities and fast- growing metropolises. As part of the team, I contributed to a project that implemented an Information Management System for the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation's (PDRF) Emergency Operations Center. This involved collecting and processing data related to urban resilience using ArcGIS and establishing the PDRF Aware database, which helped improve emergency response and disaster management efforts. In addition, I trained disaster risk management practitioners from several companies in using the EMOPS system, a tool for monitoring and managing disaster risks in urban areas. I also collaborated with the World Bank's Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) to develop course materials for EMI's Natural Disaster Risk Management Program (NDRMP), which helped promote best practices in urban disaster risk reduction.
