Modern Cabinets | Aug 2020 - Apr 2024

Furniture Designer, Maker and Seller

Self taught through YouTube and with a keen interest in design and hands on making, I founded ModernCabinets during the first UK lockdown. - Generated £10,000 in revenue during the first year. - Prior to launching Modern Cabinets, I conducted extensive research into furniture trends, materials, techniques, key areas to invest in, timber suppliers, courier services, e-commerce platforms and design software. - I used Fusion 360 as CAD and CAM software to produce 3D models of my designs and to generate tool paths for use on a 3-axis CNC router. - Items were designed to be practical, cost-effective, conform to shipping restrictions, and most importantly repeatable for batch production, helping to reduce cost. - Each design received a detailed cost sheet to reveal the cost, price and profit margin to ultimately determine the viability of the design. - Provided good customer service resulting in a 5 star average rating on Etsy.

Brand Manager

Findr is a business partnerships platform helping decision-makers save time securing discovery calls. Joining as Findr's 1st employee I work closely with the founders, supporting the growth of Findr to a team of 10, with hundreds of members, including the likes of Deliveroo, Mastercard and Uber. - Promoted from Marketing Executive to Brand Manager within 6 months. - During my spell at Findr, users increased by 240% and social media followers increased by 190%. - Developed new marketing campaigns based on quarterly and annual objectives. - Designed, developed and implemented a complete brand refresh within 2 weeks. - Over a 3 month period, I overhauled the brand positioning and messaging. - Created, implemented, upheld and updated brand guidelines and tone of voice. - Delivered 80+ campaigns showcasing our members both on the platform and on LinkedIn. - Part of the product committee responsible for identifying new product features and assessing their position within the product backlog. - Created buyer personas and briefed the sales team on our ideal customer base along with messaging guidelines to help attract our target audience.

Accounts Payable Specialist

- This was a one-off remote access role which Lloyd’s Register created for me due to the success of my Internship with them during the previous summer. - I managed the processing of invoices from multiple regions across Europe and Asia, effectively communicating with people of different nationalities concerning invoice queries and settlements. - This freelance role was completed alongside full-time university studies. - I operated at a fast pace to reach the weekly goals which were generally completed within a 12 hour period each week.

Summer Intern - Accounts Payable

- I quickly learnt how to process invoices using JDE and ByD, coordinating with different departments of the organisation to match Invoices with payments. - I established myself as the highest processor within the accounts payable department during my period of internship. - This enabled me to receive recognition within my role, leading to the freelance role which I subsequently undertook during my 2nd year at University.
