Senior Liaison Military/VA/Family Coordinator

Represented the command’s funeral honor and color guard details, accountable for all funeral and color guard requests of the command’s area of responsibility across more than 10 counties in Maryland Saved the Navy thousands of dollars managing all materials, actions, and documentation Streamlined the requests and after action report processes, creating a near paperless, linear, user friendly process, saving hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars. An added benefit was moving the Navy to an eco-friendly environment Communicated on a daily basis with family of fallen veterans, veteran’s affair (VA) personnel, other military services, funeral/cemetery personnel, and reservists on all manner of funeral and color guard related matters supporting their grieving process and alleviating their burdens Made it my personal mission to ensure that every request for a funeral of a veteran was given the honor that they deserved and approved Personally participated in 5 funerals ensuring those veterans received honor and dignity Trained two naval personnel on funeral honor and color guard details requests and after action report processes
