Huawei Consumer Business Group | Aug 2020 - Nov 2022

Head of Game Business Development CEE, Nordics, Israel, Turkey, Canada

Under my leadership AppGallery became a thriving ecosystem connecting game developers of any size with hundreds of millions of Huawei device owners and the 3rd largest app store in the world. Following the ban which restricted access to Google services for Huawei users, in less than 2 years we've managed to bring more than half of top grossing games to the store and helped major industry players to reach new heights by supporting their user acquisition (paid and organic), monetization (both IAP and ads) and Live Operations. As the head of gaming vertical, I worked with top game developers from the region helping them find commercial success outside of Apple/Google duopoly.

I executed a deep transition from web/social gaming company with start-up roots into efficiently managed mobile game development studio ready for IPO. - Designed and lead the organisational change of hi-growth 100 people company into organisation with clear roles, mid-level management, structured planning and reporting. - Identified and closed the competence gaps needed to turn web games studio into globally focused mobile games developer by bringing, developing and empowering top talent in the industry in the areas of product management, game design, user acquisition, app store optimisation and live operations - The company shipped 10+ games and grew profitability by 30%

As a mentor invited by Google I dedicated my time and expertise to help coach startups and entrepreneurs across Europe on their journey to success. Driven by the passion of helping others I was offering guidance, support and advice in the areas such as: product strategy, growth and digital marketing, general management and operations.

Grupa Onet.pl SA | Nov 2012 - Jun 2015

New Business Development Director

I managed New Business Development team in largest Polish online medium - Onet.pl (17M users monthly, part of Axel Springer group). Team's responsibilities included: (1) M&A (2) Incubation of new products and business lines As head of M&A, I have developed the process for strategic planning, target identification and evaluation, negotiation and due diligence. I have lead multiple acquisition processes of top companies from areas like gaming and e-commerce, executed 10+ due diligences (commercial, tech, fin/ tax, legal) and successfully closed several transactions, including skapiec.pl (leading price comparison engine) and nk.pl (largest Polish online social gaming platform) . Key elements to my success have been (1) ability to identify synergies with Onet and potential areas for growth within the companies we have acquired (2) effective strategies and processes to align the two organisations during Post Merger Integration, including aligning their product, cultures, operations, and systems.

Online Audience and Marketing Lead CEE

I managed growth of Microsoft online services (MSN, Hotmail, Skype etc.) across CEE markets. I developed and implemented strategies to increase our online audience and engagement, as well as create new advertising revenue streams. As the lead for launching our online products on new markets, I was responsible for overseeing the entire process from start to finish. This identifying and securing partnerships with key local players (media companies, content suppliers, ad sales networks), as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the product.

Microsoft | Jan 2007 - Jul 2011

Online Lead, Poland

I prepared and implemented market entry strategy for Microsoft consumer online services (MSN, Hotmail etc.). I had full P&L responsibility. My KPIs included both traffic and revenue, and responsibilities included marketing, PR and sales force management. I built innovative successful partnership with Agora - large Polish publishing company. This partnership model was later used on 20+ markets worldwide, where Microsoft was late and faced fierce competition from local players.

Skype | Jul 2005 - Jan 2007

Regional Manager, CEE

I managed Skype in its early years across 3 major CEE markets. My responsibilities included strategy, marketing, PR and business development. I drove Poland to position of market no. 1 in whole EMEA and no. 3 worldwide. I closed several complex partnerships with large online companies that drove traffic and facilitated monetization. I was also responsible for regulatory problems, which was a huge challenge for company offering product disrupting stable telecom market.

I built and later managed 30+ people sales and marketing team at leading alternative business telco provider in CEE, generating double digit (in USD millions) annual revenue.

I was responsible for data analytics, business modeling and product marketing research in a newly launched mobile network. I led projects like segmentation, pricing and demand, new tariffs and others, requiring deep data analytical skills.
