This initiative aimed to improve data discoverability for analytics stakeholders, leveraging a cloud-native, high-volume streaming architecture that connects partner restaurants with delivery riders.

Big Data Engineer

As a member of the Data Lake team, I designed and implemented Airflow data pipelines to orchestrate batch workloads using SQL queries. I focused on data cleaning and storage within a Snowflake warehouse architecture, deployed on an on-premise Hadoop data lake cluster. Collaborated on developing data integration pipelines to facilitate secure and efficient COVID-19 data exchange between Kela and the Department of Health. Designed robust data sharing mechanisms that ensured compliance, data privacy, and timely information transfer during the pandemic response.

Trainee Software Developer

Final project in collaboration with a fellow student to create a catalogue of movies and TV series available on streaming platforms in Finland. I designed a microservice architecture and developed a dockerized Python webscraper to populate a MySQL database feeding the backend of the webpage. Our project received an honorable mention as the best customer product thinking at programme’s final fair.
