§ Designing scientific experiments and developing computational tools to investigate respiratory muscle health and pathology § Applying ML/statistical techniques (e.g., unsupervised machine learning, bootstrapping, mixed linear models, signal processing) to glean physiological and clinical insights relevant for healthcare § Novel use and development of AI/ML tools to the field of diaphragm neuromotor control including experimental design, collection, and labeling of relevant data § Data management & processing of respiratory EMG data sets of thousands of individual breaths: Python (pandas), R (tidyverse), SQL, Excel § Statistical analyses performed using R (lme4, emmeans) and Python (statsmodels; stats) § Data visualization in Python (seaborn, matplotlib, plotly), R (ggplot2), and Matlab for publication & presentation quality figures § Dashboards in Power BI and Excel/SQL § Mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students § Productivity: Contributions to over 10 publications (50% first author), presentations at national and international conferences, and contributions to successful grant applications totaling over $1 million.
