Research Project

For my final year research project, I analyzed the impact of mobile money on economic growth using secondary data and time series techniques. The project involved collecting and cleaning economic datasets, applying statistical models, and interpreting results to understand the relationship between mobile money adoption and GDP growth. Findings revealed a positive correlation, showing that mobile money contributes significantly to economic performance by improving financial inclusion and enhancing transactions. This project strengthened my skills in data analysis, statistical modeling, and interpretation of real-world economic issues.

Industrial Attachment

During my industrial attachment at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), I gained hands-on experience in data collection, validation, and analysis at both county and national levels. My responsibilities included conducting economic surveys, compiling and analyzing population projections, and assisting with the preparation of statistical reports. I also supported data entry and management using Excel, generated social and economic statistics, and provided technical support on county-level statistical issues. This experience strengthened my practical skills in statistical analysis, data management, and teamwork, while giving me exposure to real-world applications of statistics in policy and economic planning.
