I worked for vetevo at the lab on preparation and analysis of fecal samples for microscopy. I also analysed the samples through automated and traditional microscopy. I contributed on the optimisation of lab processes using the knowledge gained on my previous experiences in labs and took part in decisions concerning lab upgrades and lab growth.

I worked for AG Sander in different studies that analysed the immune response of patients vaccinated against the corona virus SARS-COV2. My tasks involved analysing and processing human blood samples, measuring immune responses, as well as processing delicate patient data.

I worked at the Klinikum Ernst von Bergmann, in the lab sector, aka Labor Potsdam, my job was to quantify corona samples mostly through qPCR and DNA sequencing of positive covid samples for mutation protocolling, using Nanopore sequencing technology. The process involved all the steps from nucleic acid extraction to PCR, RTase-PCR and sequencing. Other than that, I safely managed the data of patients through Excel and the clinic’s database, OSM.

I took two internships and did my bachelor thesis at the Fraunhofer IAP. There I had my first experience working in a lab and in the research field. I gained experience working with proteins and cells in the form of human and bacterial cell cultures with the goal of testing a novice biomaterial. Tasks included cultivating cells, changing media, freezing cells and also electrophorese methods. My bachelor thesis was concentrated around expressing and extracting a certain protein and have an enzyme react with this protein to form oligomers.
