CEO

I realigned the vision, mission, and values to strengthen the culture and identity at Argo. Devised a new business strategy and oversaw the execution process. Furthermore, I reshaped and steered the organisation to deliver both investor and customer value in very turbulent times for the sector (pandemic). Main achievements : • Increased 100% revenues and 25% Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV). • Reduced 90% Debt and 33% cost per transaction. • Improved 80% customer Net Promoter Score (NPS). • Launched a new payment product line and rebranding strategy. • Minimised cost that led to Multi-million USD EBITDA improvement.

I headed the technology strategy, planning and operations at Argo. Leading a team of 60 people, I shaped the technology organization to deliver both investor and customer value. This included revising and improving cloud infrastructure, software development process, while improving features/product time-to-market and quality indicators. Main achievements : • Established partnerships with new suppliers • Migrated workloads from on premise to the cloud (Azure) • Increased in release frequency from every 30 days to every day. • Reduced number of bugs and QA cycles per release • Devised strategy and initiated migration from monolithic to microservice architecture

Chief Information Officer

Based in Dubai, TechX was a tech start up which focused on simplifying the business aviation industry. I led the production and the early execution of the company´s business plan. I helped pitch the business proposition to investors and led the initial recruitment strategy. I coordinated the innovation, technology and data science teams (30 staff in 2 locations) in several cutting-edge projects such as: 1. Flight recommendation solutions; 2. Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) for business aviation customer service; 3. Lead qualification engines for Request for Quotes (RFQs); 4. Blockchain based (hyperledger) peer-to-peer platform to connect customers with fleet operators and more.

I served as a member of the Executive Committee, leading all aspects of technology, including strategy and operations. I enabled new products and services, automated processes, reduced costs, improved customer experience, and ensured protocols and processes for business continuity and cybersecurity. I supervised remote agile development teams with over 250+ staff tasked to create the company's best-in-class core flight management platform GlobaView (GV). Moreover, I priced, planned, and implemented multi-year projects. My accomplishments within this role are following: • Increased business profit and generated revenue by 7x in seven years. • Oversaw multi million USD / year IT budget. • Built technology organisation fit for innovation through agile software development practices. • Designed, constructed, and launched GlobalView Platform (GV). • Established infrastructure, processes, and KPIs for global business 24x7 operations with 1000+ users. • Maximised returns on key third-party software assets such as SAP, Salesforce, and Oracle BPM.

I led the development of technology solutions for Equity derivatives proprietary and flow trading businesses. I coordinated workstreams with traders, quants, and middle-office & back-office teams. I also delivered projects such as new pricing and risk model integration, risk scenario, P&L/exposure reports, and new trade flows. Additionally, I supervised business analysis, solution design (architecture), and the implementation (coding) of key technology projects. Main achievements: • Automated trade booking tools, leading to significant cost reduction. • Delivered analysis and tech platform to support the creation of a new legal entity (Nomura Capital Markets). • Customized end of day process, reducing cost and time.

Toolkit Development Manager

Sophis is a leading cross-asset solution provider for the financial markets. Manager of a team of 7, my responsibilities included coordinating the toolkit team around Sophis Value to deliver bespoke developments primarily to the hedge fund and asset manager industry. Project scope determination, effort estimation, resource allocation, client support organisation and project follow up throughout the whole development life cycle compose the main responsibilities of this role. I actively participated in all solution modelling (C# and C++). Typically this involves customising the application to meet requirements such as risk scenarios, pricing model integration, stress tests or integration with external systems.

Business Analyst

Global Project of Treasury at bank Santander Brazil. The responsibilities included financial instrument analysis with regards to pricing and hedging parameter calculation for the Fixed Income desk. For the Fx and Equity Derivatives desks, the responsibility also included impact analysis of a new trading system on processes and on existing architecture, providing solid specifications for actions. Close contact with traders, quants and IT managers. The technologies involved were: Murex MxG2000(Front office), TIBCO(Middleware), Oracle (Back office) and house-made applications.

AgroTech startup which provided software and hardware solutions in the area of precision agriculture. I coordinated software development at the company, creating products covering processes such as crops monitoring from imagery and leaf disease analysis. Manager of a team of 5, I designed and developed applications in C++ and Java in a distributed environment. Implementation and training of neural networks (NLP) as well as several image processing algorithms for image segmentation and classification.

Intern

Development and enhancement of a fixed income market making system for investment banks in Germany and the UK. The responsibilities included server-side extensions, such as : optimizations in bond-pricing methods in C++ and publishing data to real time feeds.
