CLASSROOM TEACHER • Use trends in individual student progress to monitor student learning needs. • Failure rate consistently below 15% (often below 10%). There were several years where no students failed the course. • Developed positive relationships with students. Clearly communicated goals and deadlines. Explained complex concepts, related to teaching and the content itself, in a manner clear to a variety of backgrounds and education levels. • Continuously built relationships with stakeholders. This was achieved through clear avenues of communication, listening to feedback, setting clear goals, maintaining transparency, and regular progress updates. • Provided additional support for high-need students. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT - COUNTY • Involved in the design and implementation of a county-wide framework to further standardize curriculum goals for physics. • Language in the state standards was rewritten and restructured to make it more accessible for students and stakeholders.
