While working in the Advocacy Campaign Manager role, I found a real passion and love for data work while building petition verification systems and working with our membership on how to turn data points into action. That turned into exploring a data role more in-depth and ultimately finding a home within the data and advocacy world. Advocacy Campaign Manager

The Advocacy Campaign Manager position furthers the mission of the Nebraska Civic Engagement Table (NCET)’s member organizations and associated coalitions by building long term power and infrastructure for ballot initiative advocacy campaigns. My focus this year has been on the Raise the Wage campaign, and I'm proud to have built a large scale petition verification model that nonprofits can use for years to come. Additionally, I provide in depth training on signature collection, processes, and more to our member nonprofits and as a Notary Public have made myself accessible and proactive in assisting with petition verification efforts. Ballot initiatives are one of the biggest ways to make a policy impact in Nebraska, and we know we succeed when we make our efforts as grassroots as possible while centering the voices of those most impacted.

The Heath Mello for Mayor campaign sought to elect former State Senator Heath Mello.
