Standard Lines Treaty Pricing: Account actuary, responsible for profitability. Worked closely with national account underwriters and conducted client pricing audits. Umbrella/General Liability Reinsurance: Line of business actuary, responsible for evaluating industry market trends, rate adequacy, and loss experience. Made recommendations to chief actuary regarding severity distributions and pricing model assumptions. Agency Captive Program Actuary: Co-authored paper detailing program’s pricing methodology, designed pricing application, analyzed pricing and coordinated rollout to 36 captives. Large Accounts: Reviewed retrospective, large deductible, and guaranteed cost programs, trained underwriters, wrote underwriter training material. Ceded Reinsurance: Liaison to brokers and reinsurers, facilitated renewal of two large commercial finite treaties as well as several non-finite treaties, analyzed cash flows of proposed treaties.
