Cyber Research & Development Engineer

At Keysight I was responsible for researching and developing a proof of concept for a large company account. This proof of concept had to use bare- metal packet processing technology to improve the processing speed due to the massive amount of traffic handled by the client. - Developed a working proof of concept for a large company account - Used XDP and eBPF available in the Linux Kernel to improve the performance of a key client application, resulting in the processing 5 times as many packets per second as the previous solution. - Designed and implemented an internal network virtualisation tool in Python, allowing developers to load kernel modules onto virtual hosts and simulate the traffic seen in real systems - reducing the time taken to test modules and improving the burndown rate in sprints.
