Professional Testing, Evaluation, and Learning (PROTEL) | Jul 2021 - Present

Research Assistant

Collaborated with a team of researchers to brainstorm ideas and develop research plans. Performed statistical analyses to identify key trends and insights in the data, resulting in the successful completion of the research project. Prepared reports summarizing the research findings and presented them to stakeholders teams which resulted into a better understanding of the project results. Coordinated data acquisition activities for two research projects from Makerere University students' database supporting the research projects to achieve their objectives. Led research three research projects overseeing data analysis activities, drafting reports at all stages, and preparing manuscripts for publication. Used data visualization tools to monitor data collection activities for enumerators. Based on these insights, areas where poor quality data were collected were revisited. Conducted data analysis for evaluations, enabling projects to assess their effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic decision-making Designed customized algorithms in R to facilitate the random assignment of participants to treatment and control groups, significantly reducing the team's time spent on randomization tasks.
