Postdoctoral Research Fellow

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, I coordinate biology/immunology research to create and analyse novel treatments of complex diseases while mastering modern biological research techniques. As such, I write, edit, and submit various research publications, interpreting complex research data into simplified reports for peer review. To drive research innovation, I lead project management and research coordination from conception to completion, publishing a series of research papers focused on Graft-Versus-Host Disease. Furthermore, I master and employ cutting-edge biological research tactics, including ELISA, PCR, immunoblotting, immunostaining and multi-colour flow cytometry. Through these and other research methodologies, I coordinate animal research experiments to analyse real-time impacts of treatments. Demonstrating superior leadership skills, I manage numerous PhD students in laboratory settings, monitoring and evaluating performance to provide mentorship, direction, and training that fosters academic skill growth. As such, I masterfully respond and adapt to varying tasks, high-pressure environments, and time-critical projects, while playing an integral role in research translation, editing, and proofreading in English and Japanese.
