Research Assistant/Analyst for Division of Epidemiology

Automated translation of 8,000+ question REDCap survey to Qualtrics formatted text document using MATLAB. Extracted health data from over 50+ patients' charts. Produced research figures and metrics from survey data, including over 500+ survey responses, using Python.

University of Utah Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering | Sep 2022 - May 2023

Research Assistant

Designed and manufactured custom wireless surface electromyography (sEMG) chips. Programmed the custom chip to send/receive data over UDP in C/C++. Wrote scripts for live acquisition and visualization for sEMG signals in MATLAB. Developed custom functions for the integration of research devices with different operating systems.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Developed a system to measure cognitive workload using physiological measures, heart rate variability, and LF/HF power ratios. Programmed custom MATLAB script using PhyzioZoo HRV Analysis API to automate data analysis. Independently ran research experiments with minimal supervision and assistance. Collected and analyzed ECG data from over 20+ participants.
