• Led technical efforts on real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) projects, which involved analyzing consumer behavior related to ophthalmology dispense data. These projects generated approximately $100k to $200k in revenue per project, with the potential for scaling to larger initiatives. Tools and libraries used include PySpark, Databricks SQL, and ArcGIS. • Utilized unsupervised machine learning to support a strategic decision to continue product launches in a $1B Canadian market for a multinational pharmaceutical company. • Developed a machine learning model in Spark NLP to detect adverse events from patient communications, leveraging BERT embeddings from a pretrained BIOBERT transformer. • Created data collection and preprocessing pipelines for structured and semi-structured data in Databricks, integrating the company's SharePoint for subject matter experts to label data for machine learning projects. Tools and libraries used include Pandas, NumPy, SpaCy, Office365, and SendGrid.

This initiative resulted in annual savings of $100k. • Mined market data from multiple sources and integrated it into an automated cleaning process that enables market analysts to present information to customers. • Created web scraping scripts to gather data in R and evaluate Alberta’s merit order through statistical models that forecast hourly prices. 2018 forecasts fell within 5% compared to actual prices. • Researched Canadian rate tariffs to establish utility budgets for large clients and monitor variances to create ongoing adjustments. Presented policy changes to various publicly traded companies and quantified the financial impact to the their future expenses. • Forecasted natural gas prices traded at the Henry Hub by developing a random forest model with gradient boosting. The model heavily influenced natural gas procurement decisions for the organization and its customers. Tools and libraries used include caret and xgboost. • Created multivariate linear regression models to forecast Ontario electricity prices. The models evaluated expected baseload generation, electricity demand and generation capacity; achieving an adjusted R2 of 0.94. • Modeled customer electricity and natural load profiles to support transactions of financial swaps and physical forward contracts.
