Investment Data Analyst

Serve as FactSet (financial data software) and MPI Stylus (cloud-based reporting application) co-owner and subject matter expert within the Strategic Advisors business unit at a multinational financial services and asset management corporation. Collaborate on a 10-person Data Strategy and Investment Decision Support team and support a 30-person Research team performing fundamental and quantitative investment analysis. Work extensively with Morningstar (financial research system) data, internal databases, and reporting tools. Partner with Business and Technology teams to create custom databases, reports, investment models, and solutions for Investment Services, Risk Management, and Enterprise teams. Increased productivity and efficiency by 10-15%. Optimized systems and processes, automated key reporting functions, and installed tracking mechanisms and monitoring tools. Create 75-100 custom reports each quarter. Participate in data collection and support recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Help support a scorecard evaluation process for advisory teams. Developed Access application to automate and centralize email creation process, saving 50+ hours yearly. Improved Block Trade process by automating tasks using Excel and SQL queries, saving 25+ hours per year per team member. Migrated business reports from Hyperion using PowerBI by recreating calculations using DAX and M code and updating SQL queries. Evaluated the preference of millennials in the selection of financial institutions and banking products. Researched what factors and criteria would influence them to consider switching financial providers. Created, distributed, and administered student surveys using Survey Monkey. Collected and analyzed data, reporting findings to project owners, leadership, and decision-makers.
