Sr. Operations Analyst, Demand Planning

Hired to scale and sharpen demand planning (forecasting) process for 500M/month parcel delivery network. Produced weekly operational forecasts used for resource planning by warehouse, transportation, and marketplace teams across five US regions. Data analyst role supported Sales and Marketing with key account insights and bespoke reporting ahead of quarterly business review and board meeting cycles. ➤ Improved forecast accuracy 10% by installing a quality control monitoring process. -Introduced client-specific defect detection logic and created a root cause remediation playbook that replaced subjective decision making with repeatable best practices. -New process removed single point of failure, documented tribal knowledge, and brought company wide-transparency to how forecasting works. ➤ Lowered capacity utilization costs 10% by enriching existing SQL reports. -Defined business logic to classify package dimensions (small, med, large, etc.) that enabled the Marketplace team to assemble denser package delivery routes. -Denser routes led to more intelligent pricing that reduced average cost per package. We no longer paid the same price to deliver packages of different sizes. ➤ Automated forecast assessment process by developing a set of quality dashboards in Google Sheets that ingested purpose-built PostgreSQL queries I wrote. -Created statistical tools (control charts, Pareto charts, histograms, etc.) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to better assess forecast accuracy and to ensure weekly scoring workflow could be distributed across team members. -Cleaned, filtered, and transformed client-provided forecast data by creating bespoke translation workflows for 8 clients across the meal-kit and retail industries.

Managed 2 direct reports and was responsible for coach (contractor) acquisition and coaching session fulfillment metrics. Reported to CEO ➤ Reduced supply acquisition cycle time by 53% (17 to 8 weeks) by overhauling unstructured recruiting process and introducing visibility into capacity utilization analytics. -Reengineered contractor recruiting process by documenting and analyzing process flow chart to remove bottlenecks, redundancies, and avoidable handoffs. Implemented lightweight database (Airtable) to centralize and record decision making. -Created a data pipeline from Salesforce.com to Google Sheets that translated deal flow data into precise fulfillment forecasts and coach recruiting schedules. -Built a process KPI dashboard and established a weekly review cadence with peer directors to anticipate spikes in demand and proactively set sales expectations. ➤ Quantified pathways to increase gross margin 6% by reducing platform cancel and no-show rates that had gone previously unnoticed. -Conducted and presented financial analysis spanning multiple data sources to executive leadership team. -Quantified actionable recommendations through retroactive impact modeling, benchmarking against academic research, and conducting user interviews.

After successful turnaround of Carrier Ops department, tapped to create the Partner Success department. Responsible for adapting B2C sales and scheduling workflows to operationalize B2B partnerships that gave exposure to valuable recurring revenue streams. Managed team of 9 (including 6 call center reps) and reported to VP of Sales. ➤ Scaled client account base 4x from (5 to 20) accounting for 15% of company revenue within six months of launching the team. -Defined a new set of processes and SOPs to standardize client-specific booking workflows, and month-end client billing. -Created a B2B pricing model that provided guardrails for partnership deal negotiations. Pricing math took into account operational constraints, historic performance and trends, and profitability requirements.

Hired to turn around the Carrier (truck) Operations team, which had been hobbling revenue growth. Inability to recruit and retain carriers forced us to turn away business and consistently low job quality resulted in high discounts rates. Managed 8 direct reports, owned transportation P&L line item (highest cost driver), and reported to COO. ➤ Enabled 100% YoY revenue growth by fixing the truck recruiting process. -Introduced a new recruiting workflow by implementing Salesforce.com -Restructured team into generalist role into specialist sales and quality functions. -Deployed Tableau dashboards to increase visibility and drive accountability. ➤ Reduced average truck cost 15% by conducting sales analysis to define market-specific contractor payment rates.
