Exploration Geoscientist - New Ventures / Basins & Petroleum Systems (US Gulf of Mexico)

• Led extensive venture planning, country-entry strategy building and portfolio analysis and management; • Drove prospect assessments and maturation across key and novel plays (Wilcox, Miocene, Cretaceous Tuscaloosa, Jurassic Norphlet) through proactive in-house targets and external dataroom farm-in evaluations involving; seismic mapping (Petrel, DSG), stochastic volumetric computation & risking (GeoX), attribute extraction/generation (SpecDecomp, RGB blends, RMS, cosine-phase, sweetness, coherency etc.), technical assurance and management presentations, portfolio-scale commercial viability runs all with thorough across-discipline integration and interaction (reservoir engineering, drilling, business development, finance, legal); • Led regional 2D/3D, NAZ to MWAZ & FAZ, pre- & post-salt seismic interpretation, well correlations, seismic-well ties, play mapping, CCRS ('traffic light') building, post-drill analysis, well failure/success analysis, attribute generation/mapping and more - across the US Gulf of Mexico deepwater; • Integrated continuous historical and current competitive intelligence across the US GoM (across various providers and software suites), working leasing strategies, analysing company movements, trends and modus operandi; • Conducted numerous data reviews with expansive exposure to data rooms, seismic & well data purchases, consultant liaisons, technical expertise interactions, literature reviews and data compilation using own proactive 'wiki' building.

Exploration Geoscientist - Basins & Petroleum Systems (Middle East, Central Asia).

• Regional 2D/3D seismic interpretation across the South Caspian Sea (primary focus on the Apsheron Ridge); • Well and Post-Drill Analysis of 40+ Caspian wells, built into Combined Common Risk Segment (CCRS) maps across SCS; • Literature and database extraction, compilation and review for the Fasila & Pre-Fasila intervals; • 12 basins extensively screened across the Caspian Sea, including: Pre- Caspian, Mangyshlak, Kura, Fergana, Chu-Sarysu, Amu-Darya, North Turgay, North Ust'Yurt, Syr-Darya, Terek Caspian and Volga Urals basins.

Real-time well analyst and wellsite geologist, responsibilities included: • Daily monitoring and QC of domestic and international well activity - reporting & presenting daily. • Daily real time well log monitoring, updates and QC. • Analysis and interpretation of mud, wireline & drilling logs (GR, NDens, Sonic, NMR). • Exposure to real time pore pressure analysis and correction. • Exposure to frontier and development operational tools. • Exposure to both exploration and development wells, deep and shallow water, clastics, carbonates, HPHT, deviated, batch-drilling & drillship wells. • Cross-functional integration with both onboard, drilling and JV teams.
