Financial Intelligence Unit Expert

• Assessed and proposed optimization of data governance processes and operations incl. co-creation of standardized SAR (XSD/XML document) • Delivered OSINT & KYC information, documentation, review, and verification of received documentation and made an analytical risk assessment • Designed and developed Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server dashboards, visualization and metrics for internal purposes • Designed and automated data-driven controls to better manage and protect data assets • Developed new ML detection ideas into structured, deliverable proposals and projects • Investigated high-risk clients and reported where necessary, including Politically Exposed Persons, and obtained all necessary documentation to complete the client file • Maintained continuous contact with obliged entity representatives in order to keep customer file updated • Performed due diligence (EDD) • Periodical reviewed KYC records as to the completeness, including verifying that due diligence has been performed and that due diligence standards are complied with; also that the files and risk assessments are current and up to date • Periodically created new & evaluated existing ML/TF alerts according to established policies, procedures and guidance • Presented a thorough understanding of AML business and related areas of interest in order to monitor activities related to suspicious transactions • Reviewed end-to-end data flow (data quality, data lineage), analyzed existing ETL technologies, and discovered key data elements • Thoroughly and succinctly documented the research and analysis related to the financial activity and related entities of an entity • Translated data into insightful visualizations and interactive reports to support decision making at all levels within the business (incl.
