Medical Data Analyst

Daily work • Database Content Management: managed medical records, gene, tumour, and drug databases to guarantee accurate information for oncologists and colleagues. • Data Analysis: received data requirements from other departments, then exported and cleaned data. Projects • Database Structure Optimisation: optimised 3 databases, including medical records, targeted drug instructions, and case studies. Records with the same somatic alteration tags can be added to reports automatically, reducing colleagues’ reviewing time dramatically after the matching accuracy increases with optimisation. • Website Design: designed 2 visible and user-friendly case studies and targeted drug instructions exhibition websites, providing colleagues and clients with platforms for information retrieval. • Report Writer: written over 100 gene introduction files indicating the relationship between genes and cancers, promoting the new genetic detection product access to markets. • Tumour Optimisation: optimised over 100 types of cancer classification in the databases, laying a solid foundation for data management and cohort analysis. • Publication: Liqun Wu, Herui Yao, Hui Chen etc., “Landscape of Somatic Alterations in Large-Scale Solid Tumors from an Asian Population.” Nature Communications.
