Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard | May 2023 - Present

Visiting Researcher

• Calculated heterogeneity and grouping probabilities for SNPs. The results were included in a presentation given to a group of medical professionals. • Produced results and visuals for a paper that is almost ready for submission. The findings show evidence of a previously unknown genetic connection between two disparate health outcomes. • Enhanced existing code, written in GO, by adding the ability for users to calculate heterogeneity between specified columns. Eliminated the need to use additional programs and saved time. • Identified possible ICD/ICPC code mix ups. Used R and SQL in a secure computing environment to find patients with medical codes unlikely to be accurate based on supporting medical codes.
