KBI Biopharma | Sep 2018 - Nov 2019

Process Engineer I

eliminate production turnover inefficiencies, streamline scale-up of process data management - Biopharmaceutical manufacturing support for clinical and commercial drug substances as system owner of data infrastructure, fermentation media preparation, and shake flask cell expansion - Generation and delivery of data analysis reports, production updates, and technical documents for clients, including continuous process verification and control charting with Python

Ferguson Mechanical Engineering Lab - CU Boulder | Aug 2017 - Nov 2019

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program Grant Recipient

2017 - 2018 Academic Year - Principal project goal is an interdisciplinary study of mice having undergone hind-limb suspension to mimic muscle and bone loss associated with human aging to investigate chemical and mechanical changes from limb disuse. - Foremost responsibility to develop a protocol for chemical analysis of articular cartilage from hind-limb suspension mice using Raman spectroscopy to analyze chemical peak alterations - Data analysis of the Raman spectra results using Matlab will indicate statistically significant changes to chemical structure of articular cartilage - Grant application submitted and approved by University of Colorado Boulder UROP Committee to participate in this study

Himalayan HealthCare | May 2018 - Jul 2018

GlobeMed Grassroots Onsite Work Intern

A 7 week internship to learn about and assist with the development work conducted by Himalayan Healthcare in the rural villages of Ruby Valley in the Dhading district of Nepal. Involvement included surveying the construction of toilets and smokeless stoves in rural households, surveying Himalayan HealthCares’s influence on family subsistence vegetable gardens, observation of and participation in trash management in the village lead by the local mother’s group, leading English classes in Chyamra Devi and Kharsa schools in the village of Sertung 6 days a week, and obtaining a thorough understanding of the selection process for midwife student stipend recipients. Participation in this internship allowed for a deeper comprehension and appreciation for the complexity of development work through hands- on experience with a successful and ethically-sound non-profit, and an understanding of how crucial it is to consider aspects of income generation, healthcare, and education alongside each other to have an impactful influence on an underserved community.

Bayer Pharmaceuticals | Jun 2017 - Aug 2017

Quality Systems Summer Intern

(VBA) program in Excel to automate manual transcription of Quality Control assay data from LIMS software to JMP for statistical analysis. - Final program eliminated risk of human error associated with manual data transcription and reduced time required to complete transcription of hundreds of data points from several hours to a few seconds. - Further responsibilities include becoming familiarized with PI Processbook by OSI Soft for manufacturing process control applications using VBA; executing cGMP processes and documentation

Ferguson Mechanical Engineering Lab | Jan 2017 - Jun 2017

Undergraduate Research Assistant

- Project goal is to analyze the effects of kidney disease on bone structure and stability through quantitative analysis - Currently responsible for preparing samples of mouse tibia bones affected by kidney disease for three-dimensional mapping of data collected from Raman spectroscopy and nanoindentation using MATLAB. - Further responsibilities include analyzing maps with linear regression models to construct a generalized model of the discrepancy between affected and unaffected mice

Atlantis Project | Dec 2016 - Jan 2017

Pre-Med Fellow

- Spent three weeks shadowing doctors at a local hospital in varying fields and specialties, learning about healthcare systems in various countries of Europe and comparing them to the United States - Acquired specific interest in orthopedic and musculoskeletal research -Gained experience traveling internationally and arranging living, meals, and activities independently

Colorado Boulder | Mar 2015 - Jan 2016
