Spatial Analyst

On contract to the NOAA Coastal Services Center, I worked with the Center's Human Dimensions program to provide support for the spatial application of socio-economic data. I co-lead a project to create Coastal County Hazard Snapshots (https://coast.noaa.gov/ snapshots/) I also co-authored "Stakeholder Engagement Strategies for Participatory Mapping" (http://www.csc.noaa.gov/participatory_mapping/) and edited "Mapping Social Change in U.S. Coastal Counties: A Social Atlas of Coastal North Carolina" (http://csc.noaa.gov/publications/ NC_Atlas.pdf) Further, I supported an Ecosystem Based Management pilot project in Northern California's Humboldt Bay and provided technical support for conservation and planning related efforts of NOAA CSC partners in the southeastern US. I have specific interest in developing connections between economic, personal and environmental resiliency for local and regional planning.
