Leading the development and end to end implementation of an Image (Scanned Customer Documents) Recognition tool and other machine learning models for one of UK’s top 5 banks to improve accuracy, reduce manual efforts for KYC verification, wither through in-house or through cloud architecture Building and implementing big data processing pipelines that involves data sourcing, manipulation and processing, machine learning techniques and database exports within the client system using Apache Pyspark Building Python based pipeline to augment the data using free form notes within customer documents, leveraging Natural Language processing Techniques (BERT techniques fine-tuned on question answering for information extraction, word vectorization models, rule based matching using SpaCy) Built data health check pipeline for customer attributes that checks the coverage/population of data points for customers, incorporating conditionality/ dependency logic for the attributes. Developing configurable automation tool to accelerate the quality control process, as a part of data remediation process, developing customer risk assessment and targeted due diligence model for the bank before the onset of the customer due diligence initiation process Spearheaded data sourcing team and coached rest of team for obtaining optimal data across multiple client systems and databases, using big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark, for customer due diligence process of new banking customers. Coached, developed and motivated team members, providing coaching and mentoring to junior data scientists on Python and data mining techniques. Key contributor to the management information visualisations team, reporting metrics and statistics for both contractual and non-contractual reporting obligations. Employed as a Data Analyst in the Analytics Division of Ernst &Young (E&Y), based in India for 2 years. Conducted Computer Aided Audit Techniques on client’s general ledger data, using E&Y Global Analytics Tool – and output analysed by the E&Y Audit team for business audit of client. Engaged with E&Y and external users in understanding and advising on client business, identifying and assessing risk with right insights to audit team, through smart reporting. Led engagement, communication, and collaboration with 60 E&Y clients each year and performed Analytics support for around 100 business audits.
