Manager, Business Intelligence, Payor Analytics, Corporate Finance

Recruited to join the Finance Division; report to the Director of FP&A. • Direct BI forecasting that informs publicly available numbers as well as internal sales and revenue expectations. Analyze Myriad’s enterprise reimbursement data for forecasting and change impact reports. • Provide insight into the reimbursement processes by partnering with Payors to analyze reimbursement data. • Ensure that Managed Care Revenue Cycle processes correlate to revenue and business cycle. • Real time adjustment of forecasting models based on changes to Medicare and Medicaid billing codes. • Create documentation utilized by Myriad’s C-suite executives to communicate with investors and analysts. • Collaborate with Billing to reconcile data while providing executive-level information on billing as it pertains to earnings.

Business Analyst - Managed Care Analytics

Managed Care Analytics Business Unit. Role focused on ensuring products meet terms and rates of insurance contracts (i.e., United Healthcare, BCBS, etc). • Analyze market trends in diagnostic testing coverage including analysis of payor and government guidelines, related to testing. medical criteria, and pre- authorization, in order to ensure clean claims submission. • Utilized data to determine which levers to pull to ensure that patients with family histories of specific diseases received early testing to avoid future health problems. • Introduced a new forecasting system that enabled Myriad to focus on areas in which there was both a higher propensity for illness and in which government reimbursement would reimburse testing. • Ensured that clinics received training on proper coding for reimbursement. • Developed a series of dashboards that increased transparency and clarity of information used to secure higher reimbursable volume. The data helped to increase reimbursable volume vs non reimbursable volume in addition to estimating impact to revenue given specific dynamics and evolving guidelines from government and insurance.

Manager of Business Intelligence

Promoted to lead BI analytics and develop additional data analytics on sales trends. Led a team of 3 analysts to produce sales performance and customer activity reports. Recruited and hired two of the three analysts Collaborated with senior Sales and Marketing leaders to develop highly specific and targeted sales incentive programs. Data Analytics • Created sophisticated reporting methods and a fresh perspective on data analytics in order to empower and energize the sales team. Sales Program Creation • Expanded application of products for specific colon cancer patient demographics. Developed sales targets for medical specialists who served on colon cancer patients. • Collaborated with an outside marketing firm to develop targeted sales messaging to specific audiences. • Created new methods for measuring individual sales performance related to marketing and messaging. Results included improved marketing, messaging, and sales scripts. Utilized specific data points to determine whether the sales team executed on message and reported back to marketing who, in turn, refined messaging by incorporating feedback from sales. Analyzed compensation, metrics, reports and team both helped innovate and executed. • Sales increased $20M - $30M hereditary cancer product annually because of effective data analytics. • Developed highly targeted and specific analytics that improved the effectiveness of an elite team of sales professionals. Built data that supported helped clinics set up testing process and generated an additional $30M in sales for Myriad. Product Integration • Integrated multiple new testing products following Myriad’s acquisition of Counsyl, Inc including multiple products with the overarching goal of rapid integration to grow the combined product suite.

Recruited to Myriad to a key data-centric role within the Sales team to create effective sales incentive compensation plans by doing complex analysis of sales targets, obstacles, and by combining anecdotal information, historical information and human factors. • Developed a unique ability to combine data with human factors to create highly effective incentive plans. Investigated sales trends and barriers to healthcare access based upon a wide range of information including natural disasters related to specific geographies. Adjusted sales targets to account for disasters and pandemics. • Conceived and created solutions in response to payor feedback based upon data points and metrics that enabled reimbursement of tests and increased sales. • Built human factors into commission programs to incentivize partnerships and increase sales volume. • Maintained key sales performance reports, mapping software and commission files. Trained marketing and sales teams to utilize the data and visualization BI tools.
