-Studying the role of HLA in allorejection of cadaveric and human pluripotent stem cell-derived islets. -Optimizing protocols to generate stem cell-derived definitive endoderm, pancreatic progenitors and pancreatic endocrine cells more efficiently -Developing ways to direct endocrine differentiation of human pluripotent stem cell-derived stem cells towards specific lineages (alpha, beta, delta, enterochromaffin) -Work being applied towards a PhD degree
