• Coordinated and supervised 16 staff in the implementation of guinea worm eradication activities in 400 villages, including active disease surveillance, field epidemiology, data collection and analysis, case containment and treatment, health education, and vector control. • Administered quantitative data collection and analysis efforts along the range of the results framework. Administered qualitative data collection via informal focus groups at household-level and water collection points. Sought to understand logistical and cultural reasons for intervention success and failure, as well as depth of health education penetration. • Oversaw and allocated program assets to meet eradication goals, including a $100,000 annual budget, 10 vehicles, and 4 office compounds. • Liaised with local government and tribal leaders to share progress, build support for programs, and encourage community ownership.

MEL independent consultant in global development

Solutions project. Implemented the MEL Plan, including designing performance evaluations, and collecting and analyzing data for monitoring indicators. The project strengthened property rights in developing countries through use of the Mobile Applications to Secure Tenure (MAST) technology platform. Client: Catholic Relief Services. Led data workflow, management, and analysis as part of CRS’s USAID/OFDA-funded seed systems portfolio, which has quantified seed sourcing from 17,000+ smallholder farmer transactions in 15+ countries. Co-led trainings on the seed system security assessment methodology for policy leaders in Zimbabwe and Tanzania. Led the project’s move to mobile data collection. Client: International Rescue Committee. Conducted a mixed methods performance evaluation of the ORR-funded Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Assistance project, which built MEL capacity within refugee resettlement organizations. Co-authored a weekly COVID-19 epidemiology technical brief for staff in 40 countries. Client: Mercy Corps. Authored results framework, performance indicators, and data collection tools for a $2M Cargill Foundation gender and resilience program in Niger, Nepal, and Indonesia. Client: Public Health Surveillance Group, · Co-authored successful $6M UkAid-Fleming Fund proposal regarding antimicrobial resistance surveillance and data use in 12 Asian countries. Directed implementation in Nepal and Bhutan, liaising with MoH, WHO, and laboratory stakeholders to develop data capture strategies and monitor progress. · Co-authored successful proposal to develop a MEL framework for an advocacy effort funded by Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). Subsequently developed MEL framework. · Co-authored successful $1M proposal to Gates Foundation to scope the integration of vaccine preventable disease surveillance systems in India.

• Designed a mixed methods household survey seeking to understand the impact of an agricultural economic growth program on the health and nutrition status of 525 children of 160 rural groundnut farmers in a post-conflict environment. Interviewed stakeholders for input on survey’s content. • Developed sampling procedures and study design, balancing desire for statistical validity and precision with field constraints. • Trained and supervised a team of four local enumerators to utilize local-language survey to collect and record complete and accurate data. Supervised their data collection during a 3-week field trip. • ·Managed, cleaned, and coded data, making consistent decisions on inevitable discrepancies in field data. Employed descriptive and inferential statistical methods in analysis. Visualized analysis and presented findings to County Director, government partners, and Emory University stakeholders.

Peace Corps Botswana | Apr 2008 - May 2010

HIV/AIDS Program Manager, Maun VCT Centre (PEPFAR funded)

• Engaged in skills transfer activities at two organizations: a HIV counseling and testing site; and a center providing educational and psychosocial services to children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. • Developed formal client data collection procedures in order to better target testing outreaches among unreached populations. This effort led to more systematic coverage of rural areas during mobile testing outreaches, especially among transient male populations. • Developed several grant proposals, including one which sought to educate HIV+ support groups about the dangers of tuberculosis. Upon receipt of grants (totaling almost $50,000 over two years), supervised subsequent program implementation, hiring, monitoring, and donor reporting. • Mapped inventories of ARV, TB, and malaria drugs against prevalence of those diseases in northwestern Botswana. Created proposals to conduct further mapping analyses on targeted condom distribution and elective male circumcision efforts. • Enhanced financial monitoring and human resources practices. • Facilitated a nine-day, 65-student camp focused on developing teenage leadership in the struggle against HIV and gender-based violence.
