Market Research Analyst

I built a detailed financial model in Excel to estimate the average debt levels of physicians at each stage of career progression, from student to practicing physician. The model was in support of an MD Banking Referral Service initiative and derived from a quantitative study on physician debt levels. The model, in combination with the research findings, proved instrumental in estimating market penetration rates, revenue and profitability from the various products and services proposed as a physician banking package.

I managed over $30 million in assets for a client base exceeding 200 physicians and family members. Led a direct marketing campaign targeting dormant physicians in rural locations throughout the Ottawa Valley. The campaign successfully re-engaged dormant physicians leading to new fund sales of over $3 million.

I drove the launch of the MD discount trade brokerage platform using a segmented direct mail campaign requiring Financial Consultants to make follow-up phone calls to promote the new platform. The campaign would lead to growth in assets under administration encouraging physicians to consolidate their securities with MD Financial. I led the launch of a new universal life insurance product, MD Life, to the physician market. I conceptualized the primary needs analysis points and sales concepts for the introduction of the new offering that would go on to enhance MD's risk management offering.
