Research Analyst

As an Institutional Research Analyst, I work under the general supervision of the Dean of Planning, Institutional Effectiveness, and Research. My primary responsibility is to provide overall direction and management for gathering, compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data. As part of my job, I serve as the Qualtrics and ZogoTech Administrator for all evaluations, ad- hoc research assignments, training, and support. I design, implement, test, and maintain survey software for data collection from internal and external sources for use by staff and faculty. This includes but is not limited to the student information system (currently Anthology), ZogoTech, and THECB data portal. I respond to requests, manage their information, and prepare ad- hoc reports and query analyses in desired formats. I analyze and interpret data from both quantitative and qualitative studies, using accepted statistical methods and qualitative research methods. I also design, develop, and update data visualization and presentation using existing dashboard tools (currently Power BI). Additionally, I plan, coordinate, and complete the publication of internal and external statistical reports and surveys. I provide technical support as well as training on new or existing techniques. Lastly, I build and write technical reports to provide information, interpretation, and recommendations on ongoing and ad-hoc research projects.
