Development of geospatial tools and workflows using FME, Python, ArcGIS and QGIS. GIS Analyst

Provision of spatial analysis, and development of models to represent spatial and statistical trends – creation of dashboards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Involved in all aspects of the Agency’s GIS work such as data capture, data management, and map production Created a site assessment toolkit to build reports on factors affecting potential site redevelopment by scoring them against social and environmental layers. This helped build relationships with third parties by adding value to their data. This toolkit was also rolled-out online. Created the Empty Homes GIS Toolkit; an online toolkit to report on statistical trends for empty homes across England. Designed to meet the specification outlined by the project manager and in consultation with other stakeholders. Completed on schedule for launch by the Housing Minister. Created an intranet portal to report on previously developed land trends and automatically create the statistical elements for the National Land-Use Database annual report; resulted in efficiency savings and improved access to national land-use data. Improved efficiency and accuracy of data exchanges through the creation of a data validation toolkit. This was used to analyse the quality of local authority datasets to ensure compliance with data standards and automatically output a standard error report. Successfully managed the migration of HCA’s data through the Ordnance Survey PAI (Positional Accuracy Improvement) programme. Ensured minimal disruption to the day-to-day work of others and the running of the GIS department. Resulted in improved accuracy of the agency’s land records and long term compatibility with Ordnance Survey data.
