Boingo Wireless | Nov 2022 - Present

Software Engineer - Data Engineering

AI Development: Used Google's VertexAI to develop Boingo's internal AI platform dubbed "BoingoAI". ETL Pipeline Management: Designed, developed, and maintained the company's event ETL pipeline, utilizing Go and hosted in a Kubernetes cluster on AWS. Achieved optimized processing of logs for both Snowflake and Datadog, resulting in a smooth processing of over a billion logs a month. Cloud Infrastructure Transition: Spearheaded Boingo's cloud infrastructure migration from AWS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), implementing a Kubernetes cluster in GKE, building using Cloud Build, and storing using Google Cloud Storage. This results in a significant decrease in costs. Additional ETL Development: Designed and implemented ETL processes using Python to synchronize data between BambooHR and AdaptiveWork through our Snowflake data lake. This initiative facilitated Boingo’s operations team to more effectively serve customers using AdaptiveWork.
