In my current role, I serve as a key player in integrating and standardizing policies across multiple healthcare facilities within the newly merged Vandalia Health system. My responsibilities include: Coordinating policy integration efforts across both critical access and acute care hospitals, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practices Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including clinical and administrative departments, to streamline operations and foster a unified approach to policy implementation Reviewing and harmonizing existing policies, identifying areas for improvement, and developing new policies to meet the evolving needs of the merged health system Providing guidance and support to various departments, helping them understand and comply with updated policies, and ensuring adherence to accrediting bodies and regulatory requirements Facilitating communication between departments to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the policy integration process

In my role, I led the scribe program by collaborating with Schumacher Clinical Partners and ScribeAmerica to manage operations, including: Coordinating coverage, projecting staffing needs weeks and months ahead, and communicating these needs to the Operations Team Overseeing the hiring and onboarding process for project-specific hires, from I-9 authorization and medical clearance to credentialing and floor training Conducting weekly performance evaluations with the Sr. Chief Scribe, assessing metrics like open hours, clinical hours, retention, and hire-to-solo time Fostering leadership development within the Scribe team and myself, with guidance from supervisors Maintaining clinical duties as an Emergency Department Scribe, balancing leadership and hands-on responsibilities Key Achievements: • Maintained over 99% coverage of 112 hours/week between January 1 – November 1, 2022 • Reduced open hour rate from 15.25% to 0% in just one month (January to February 2022) and kept it below 2% from April to July 2022 • Achieved a 100% retention rate for my team between January 1 – November 1, 2022
