- Strain gauged an animatronic figure for Walt Disney Imagineering in order to verify FEA results. -Use different data acquisition devices and chart records to do current monitoring, voltage checks, I/O checks on PLCs, speed testing, temperature and accelerometer readings - Conduct various tests for Rehabs, new vehicles and any other changes of an attraction on both Mechanical and Controls Systems by collaborating with cross-disciplinary departments to coordinate and complete a successful test. -Beginner knowledge on programming PLCs using RSLogix - Gained knowledge of control systems from an electro-mechanical standpoint - Working with outside vendors on ordering parts and sending back instruments for calibration as well as fixing equipment in house -Created MatLab Programs for more efficient data post-processing - Monitoring current and voltage using a Dranetz meter on various electrical panels for long periods of time -Created Test Reports of Post-processed and evaluated data to be given to proper cognizant engineers -Support Sustaining and Ride and Show Engineering groups on all testing needs. - Organize, plan and schedule testing that needs to be performed on attractions. - Design and fabricate the mechanical layout a Speed Detection Instrument using SolidWorks to be used Parkwide while communicating with an electrical counterpart to create a prototype - Perform both Mechanical and Controls Operational Test plans on every attraction in both Parks, including but not limited to PLC and VFD checks, accelerometer and speed testing. - Install control system hardware on various attractions - Wire and perform I/O checks on a remote console used at Disneyland's Main Street Railroad Station
