Associate Pastor

Managed a diverse team of over 10 volunteers for over 4 years to provide an exciting weekly gathering for college students while coaching each volunteer to grow in their character and unique giftings. Grew & directed a vibrant college ministry on two campuses, influencing 100s of students each semester all while overcoming decreasing enrollment and the social challenges of the pandemic. To provide relief to earthquake victims, managed ~$50k in funds, and led two multi-disciplinary international ministry teams to the epicenter of the quake to run a kitchen which served 3 hot meals a day for over 500 survivors. Overcame unexpected challenges to secure supplies to those stranded in the mountains.

Mechanical Engineer

Led a team of mechanical engineers to design the company’s first IP 65 industrial grade barcode scanner, adhering to a tight schedule despite significant changes to accommodate an OEM laser. Tooling budget ~$500K. To save the company over $50K per week, successfully redesigned and insourced a charging base, while solving ESD susceptibility and simplifying the plastic housing design. Spent ten days in China to direct the plastic injection tooling team and thereby completing the project ahead of schedule. To prevent a new trigger design from crushing the switch on the PCB, for DFSS Green Belt project, used DMAIC, and GD&T to hold tight tolerances and worked with the supplier to develop an appropriate gauge. To verify design changes, created qual plans to test durability. Inspected units and wrote reports of the results. Obtained Patent No US 8,550,354B2 Indicia Reader System with wireless communication with a headset.
