• Collaborated with a group of 9 people in the calculation of the number of crimes in the state of Rio de Janeiro • Managed the extraction of information from the police database and updated it in the system – analyzed large public security data • Responded to requests from the press and researchers to access the data • Created routines in R programming language and used SQL to manipulate the database • Created data visualizations and tables that government officials used in different presentations • Conducted statistical studies and analyses, wrote reports, and presented the findings Key achievements: • Published the study that analyzes traffic data, and presented this report to 500+ government officials of the State of Rio de Janeiro • Taught the R programming course at the institute
