Dominion Energy | Dec 2022 - Jun 2023

Data Systems Analyst

In a contract role with Dominion, I was responsible for designing and implementing Power BI dashboards and reports for various leadership initiatives, including office usage statistics, fleet management tracking, and a comprehensive executive dashboard that combined KPI's from various divisions into a single location. Day to day activities: • Designed and developed new analytics applications and enhancements to existing systems. • Met with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business issues. • Coordinated and performed in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems. • Created and delivered effective presentations to all levels of colleagues and peer groups.

Journey Health & Lifestyle | Nov 2021 - Dec 2022

Business Intelligence Analyst

As Journey's primary analytics developer I designed, launched, and managed all aspects of data quality, reporting, and BI dashboards for each department within the organization. In my role, I worked alongside executive leadership and team managers to gain insight into their KPI's, goals, and objectives, which I then used to develop reporting and analytics solutions. Using SQL Server, Power BI, and other tools, I created interactive dashboards related to sales performance, website traffic and phone call volumes, effective advertising spend, warehouse inventory, shipment tracking, and trend forecasting. Daily responsibilities: • Structured, cleaned, and organized disparate datasets from multiple internal databases to create coherent Power BI models used to drive business decisions and improve visibility into operational performance. • Developed and deployed ad hoc SQL queries to deliver relevant marketing data to external consultants used to drive consumer action and purchasing decisions. • Trained internal end users on how to interact with Power BI dashboards and create basic visualizations using developed datasets.

Monument Consulting | Mar 2020 - Nov 2021

Senior Reporting Analyst

As a senior analyst in a client-driven environment, I was responsible for delivering insightful performance data to dedicated accounts focused on quantifiable business objectives and strategic KPI's. Internal team responsibilities included: • Building custom dashboards using advanced Excel functionality and external BI tools, as well as tabular reports from our Vendor Management Systems. • Creating and maintaining data warehouse integration via SQL connections to provide account managers timely information tailored to their specific clients' needs. • Delivering custom report builds including service-level agreement dashboards, vendor scorecard performance reports, and financial trend data as needed. • Collaborating with account management and business development teams to seek continuous process improvement and find innovative ways to meet the needs of clients. Client-facing responsibilities included: • Formally presenting market data analysis to executive leadership and invested stakeholders in order to effectively communicate Monument's value in the consulting and MSP space. • Providing in-depth review of Monument's reporting and analytics capabilities to existing clients as well as potential customers within the sales pipeline.

Call Federal Credit Union | May 2019 - Feb 2020

Business Intelligence Analyst

Serving as the SME for all business intelligence, reporting, and performance analytics within the Credit Union, I delivered data-driven business insights to senior leadership to inform their decision-making around the organization's strategic plan and objectives. Using analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel Macros, DAX, and SQL, I successfully transformed the data delivery of the Credit Union from static workbooks into dynamic, automated, and integrated reporting. Key Accomplishments: • Created dynamic dashboard visualizations in Power BI and Excel to track loan growth and sales goals for Lending and Mortgage departments, which branch managers could use to set future portfolio goals for their teams. • Developed customer "personas" using data clustering to place credit union members into unique groups based on consumer similarities and behavioral patterns; personas pinpointed ROI opportunities for Marketing team outreach. • Oversaw integration of the Credit Union’s financial statements and performance reports into Adaptive Insights business planning software, which provided the CFO and Accounting department the ability to see updated financials in near real-time. • Utilized testing methods to uncover statistical anomalies within large data sets to identify fraudulent debit card transactions and trace activity to exact times and locations across the United States.

Bon Secours Health System | Oct 2017 - May 2019

Clinical Reporting Analyst

As the clinical reporting analyst in the Informatics department, I was responsible for providing data to administrative leadership and primary care physicians within the Health System, focused on quality and performance improvement initiatives in patient care settings. Combining strong technical skills with my business management background, I successfully translated my data findings into insights which physicians, nurses, and other non-technical professionals could use to improve patient outcomes. Key Accomplishments: • Developed executive dashboards in Tableau using medical data from the Electronic Heath Record system to track progress of various strategic health initiatives, and presented recommendations to senior leadership and quality focus groups. • Oversaw the data dissemination and analysis of a $4 million physician incentive compensation plan using Excel VBA; data findings allowed physicians to identify clinical and procedural areas of opportunity for improved patient care. • Created a referral tracking report for the Informatics centralized support team to ensure patients stayed within the Health System when referrals to specialists were made by primary care physicians; report detected medical practices and specific clinicians that were consistently forfeiting revenue.

Bon Secours Health System | Sep 2014 - Sep 2017

Assistant Analyst

As the Assistant Analyst for the Medical Home department, I served as the team's primary source for performance data reporting and project management. Responsibilities included: • Data collection and report generation for the Compliance team, focused on adherence to Joint Commission standards within the Health System's medical practices across Virginia. • Project coordination for strategic improvement groups, including the Quality Leadership Team, Primary Care Quality Incentive Program, and Annual Compliance Training. • Oral and visual presentation of data findings to leadership committees to support the patient care efforts of the Medical Home department.
