R&D Operations Manager

Managing overall operations and responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the department. Led and accountable for 30 workers, having five direct reports: two production areas responsible, planning, master data, and administrative officer. Analyzed and improved operational processes to achieve more significant results, saving workforce time and production costs and better delivery times to customers. Created and established a new planning tool database, backend, and frontend, with a unique source of information that avoids duplicities, saving 30% time for five employees and reducing 20% mistakes that ended up in order rejects. Developed a Power Bi overview reporting tool, connected to the planning tool database, having automatically hourly updated data, enabled the management to create and measure KPIs, control the results, and take actions on time. Saved eight weekly hours for two workers. In charge of R&D Budget and its outcome, informing the finance department of possible deviations. Created yearly budget, and quarterly projected estimations. Explanatory information about monthly results. Achieved Silver medal award by Leather Working Group for Chemical handling, housekeeping, health&safety procedures and measurements, and energy consumption.

In charge of Experimental and Innovative ECCO shoes shop: Budget creation and follow up; Power Bi report for analyzing data and results; Decided size range and ordered quantities based on previous collections’ sales; Sold collection leftovers to others. Supported him in gathering information for decision-making, presentations, and follow-ups. Attended Board and Management meetings, took the minutes, and shared them with the attendees.

Demand Coordinator

Ensured timely and correct planning, followed by its execution, to achieve exemplary service levels with the right quality and profit. Guaranteed the Demand & Supply were matching based on the given Sales and Production forecasts and taking action when deviations occurred. Used Complex Excel sheets to do planning and have a good overview of the situation. Intermediary between all stakeholders involved in the process: Global Sales; Product Leaders; Forecasting; Operations, and Quality teams per country; Central EMEA Warehouse. Contacted the Operations teams of each production country to get information and deliver the planning for the coming days. Organized and controlled the goods’ flow at the warehouse/Cash&Carry, supervised the staff and its duties, and dealt with customers. Led and accountable for 12 workers, all direct reports. Planned and controlled stock: responsible for the receipt, correct storage, sale, and dispatch of goods at the right time and in the right quantities. Ordered enough to cover the demand but without keeping a significant amount of stocks per item. Used SAP ERP system for scheduling, warehouse management, and stock control. Managed customer and quality service, by having face-to-face contact with customers. Commercial implementation of products on the shop shelves. Introduced Lean methods to the staff.

Organized and started up a new Cash&Carry model successfully implemented. This new structure was replicated in the rest of the Spanish network. Managed the same tasks and responsibilities as mentioned on my next assignment within the company. Led and accountable for eight workers, all direct reports.

Network Department Technician (Headquarters)

Spanish Supply Chain network with 6 central warehouse locations. Responsible for planning and allocating resources of promotional campaigns to the warehouses. Project Coordinator. Main projects: Returnable packaging: Coordinated and organized with different departments the operational process of returning delivered boxes from the customers back to the warehouses. The machinery needed, SAP development, operating work instructions, and the budget. The project won several sustainable awards. New IT tool for promotional campaigns: Organized the change of a new system with an external company, mapping out all functionalities needed and implementing them. Established KPIs for all warehouses: Standardized ways of measuring and calculating them across all central locations and created a reporting tool in Excel programming in VBA, to visualize them all together. Implemented Lean methods across the organization.
