- Directed a cross functional team of data analysts, supervisors, and data science apprentices, from recruitment and onboarding to aligning goals and reviewing performance. - Defining goals and road mapping digital operations and system strategies to deliver actionable insights and reliable data reporting. - Oversaw a yearly revenue of circa. $1.5bn to enable the ingestion, automation, processing, and reconciliation of large raw-text data sets (50+ digital platforms over approx. 195 territories) through multiple systems for royalty payments via Python/SQL & ETL practices. - Facilitating strategy across the wider business by conducting statistical data analysis (SQL) by querying large datasets (inhouse/cloud) and identifying errors (Python) to optimise royalty payouts. - Led the implementation, operation, design, and review of several group-wide internal audit controls for data pipelines. - Cultivated valuable and sustainable relationships with stakeholders as the primary POC for all related enquiries and drove cross-collaboration across departments. Key Achievements: - Reduced manual processing time by 85% by strategically developing a library of Python scripts for data ingestion, reconciliation, and error detection. - Enabled better decision making and data-driven insights for commercial teams by integrating machine learning models for anomaly detection and music popularity predictions, conveying complex information clearly and concisely. - Rolled out a global royalty processing system for over 20 affiliates, which minimised revenue reporting delays from one month to near instantaneous. - Accomplished national recognition for outstanding leadership, coaching, and staff development, gaining position as a UK-wide finalist for Apprentice Employer of the Year by a government provider. - Innovated and launched a custom data ingestion system using Python/SQL to automate data processing and enhance data accuracy of royalty data from digital platforms.
