Curator of Ices and Organics, Artemis Curation Lead, Researcher

As the Curator of Ices and Organics within the Astromaterials Acquisition and Curation Branch, I am developing methods for studying and storing ice-rich extraterrestrial samples for the long-term. I am developing volatile-rich comet and lunar simulants and using these simulants to determine if/to what extent volatile-rich samples degrade over time in various storage conditions. I also serve as the Planetary Protection Officer at the Johnson Space Center, where I coordinate the efforts of human and robotic mission planners with the PP Office at NASA Headquarters. I also use remote sensing techniques to help sample experts learn more about the Moon and Mars and conduct laboratory and analog studies of planetary surfaces. I also participate in Earth Observation projects investigating local effects of climate change in the Houston/Clear Lake area.
