CTE Teacher - Coding Instructor

Passionate CTE Teacher specializing in Coding and Software Development with a proven track record of guiding students to success. I have had the privilege of leading and instructing a cohort of 14 talented students through CTE standards, leading to several earning certifications. At the core of my teaching philosophy is a commitment to empowering students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the ever-evolving world of coding. I believe in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. By implementing goal-oriented projects, I have provided students with hands- on experiences to showcase their proficiency in Python, JavaScript, & HTML/ CSS. One of my proudest accomplishments has been the significant number of students who successfully passed the Technical Skills Assessment (TSA) and earned a certificate recognized by the Arizona Department of Education. In fact, the pass rate of 9 out of 11 students in my cohort reflects the dedication and hard work we collectively put into their learning journey. This achievement marks the second-highest pass rate for our school in the past four years. To ensure the relevance and currency of the curriculum, I actively engage in curriculum development and evaluation. By staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, I am able to provide students with the most up-to-date knowledge and skills required for success in the coding and software development field. The true measure of my success lies in the accomplishments and achievements of my students, who have gone on to pursue further studies and/or embark on successful careers in coding and software development.

During my tenure as a Barista from June 2008 to October 2011, I excelled in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality beverages and products for each customer. I not only provided prompt service and upheld store policies and procedures, but I also played an integral role in assisting managers with inventory management and restocking, contributing to the smooth operation of the store. One of the highlights of my experience was building strong relationships with a large number of regular customers who valued my attention to detail and trusted me to craft their drinks to perfection. This demonstrated my ability to understand and fulfill customer preferences, showcasing my dedication to delivering personalized experiences. Throughout my time at Starbucks, I consistently maintained a clean and organized workspace, following merchandising guidelines and effectively stocking, rotating, and storing products to ensure freshness and availability. I also actively participated in training new employees, helping them develop the Starbucks customer service standards. By actively engaging with customers, providing demonstrations, and offering samples using brewing equipment, I enhanced the overall Starbucks Experience for each individual.
